Taking engagement photos for my childhood best friend was one of the most personal and emotional experiences I’ve had as a photographer. We met up in the pecan grove we both grew up near—a spot layered with so many shared memories.

Shooting there in the warm August light felt like coming full circle. Seeing her so in love, laughing and completely herself, was incredibly special. Capturing those moments in a place that holds so much of our history made the session feel more like a love letter—to her, to where we came from, and to all the years that brought us here.
